Bullet Resistant Helmet

Based upon the US Army's MITCH (Modular Integrated Tactical Comunications Helmet), ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet) & Gentex helmets.

Overview:

Designed as a lighter and more compact version of the PASGT helmet; with reduced ear & back coverage and no lip, this allows for better peripheral vision and hearing, and also enables the wearer to shoot from the prone position.

Features:

High ballistic performance with low weight, using high-tenacity ballistic aramid fiber. (DuPont, Kevlar)

Suspension Systems

All have an adjustable 4 point chin strap harness, with an integrated nape pad.

Crown Mesh: Crown Mesh with cross straps; with plastic or dual band chin cups.

Fragmentation (V50)

Fragmentation resistance ranging from 400 m/s up to 750 m/s; as tested with 1.1g, 22 Caliber, 17 grain Fragment Simulated Projectile, according to STANAG 2920 and US MIL STD 662F.

Ballistic (National Institute of Justice) NIJ II: Protects against 9mm FMJ and 357 Magnum JSP, in accordance with NIJ Standard 0106.01. (December 1981). It has a V50 of 550 m/s (1800 ft/s).

NIJ IIIA: Protects against 9mm FMJ and 44 Magnum SJHP, in accordance with NIJ Standard 0101.04. (June 2001). It has a V50 of 610 m/s (2000 ft/s).

Level 3A PASGT Helmet

Comprising of a lightweight shell with ultra comfortable webbing and four/five point harness system, our PASGT helmets offer fantastic comfort while providing world class reliability and protection.

Constructed of Kevlar® we can consistently meet full Level IIIA with minimum back face deformation and exceed a V50 fragmentation value of 670 m/s 1.1g fragment. It is one of the finest armour head-gear available in market today. The ergonomically engineered design is lightweight and has ideal distribution of mass over the head centre-line. This results in a minimum moment of inertia, and therefore no lag in following head movement.

Available in standard olive green and other customer customisable colours, we also provide cloth helmet covers if required.

The two-component polyurethane paint allows decontamination after exposure to liquid chemical agents.

We can also provide a fire and flame proof coating on our helmets that can resist temperatures up to 320o F or 106o C continuously for 30 minutes.

We also offer boltless helmets that offer a single mould design with no weak points.
